MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He's made major inroads globally towards Latin pop. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 won an Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song for the year 2017. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and also released ADN for his debut full-length album. The album peaked at the top of the charts, number 8 on the Top Latin Albums chart. The following year, he teamed up with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the Top Latin Albums chart. In the year 2020, he worked with Noriel for Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina in the following year. In 2021, he appeared in a duo with TINI for her hit streaming song Maldita Foto. The year 2023 came around and the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo came from a musical household the mother of his younger brother and father have been musicians. In interviews, Turizo said that music is an essential part of his life. In his childhood he was taught to play guitar, the piano as well as the ukulele. Although his first choice of career was becoming a vet, the brother Julian encouraged him to enroll in lessons in singing with an Cuban teacher and the end consequence of him discovering his gift in the field of singing changed the course of his life.
