Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is a well-known Indian actress who is famous for her roles in Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Her career began as an actress in the late 1980s. Her fame was boosted by Tezaab, a film starring veteran actor Anil Kooor. She next appeared in the film Dil where she shared the screen with Aamir Khan. The daughter of a middle class family in Mumbai she started learning dance from a very young age. When she was still in high school, she attempted acting, but most of her early movies did not succeed. Her breakthrough came when she finally had success and then became one of the top actors in the Indian film industry. Following her wedding, she took a brief break from her acting career until she returned. In recent years, Dixit was a key player on Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggle of Indian women. Dixit was nominated fifteen times in the Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of these. The actress was also honoured with the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian honor in India. Also, she has earned a name for her social activism.
